I know I have a lot of blogging about our entire house and all the before and afters, however we are still not quite finished with things yet and so technically there are no afters.  This is all you get for now ;)

Previously the office floor was green carpet, it was removed a long time ago and has been cement until recently.  Our front entry tile was a white/gray marble 12x12 tile, same as in our bathrooms, that Dan removed and all that remained was some thinset that was not going to come up easily, and cement.  We tried to cover up the mess and keep the dirt from spreading by laying an ugly sheet on top of it, but basically the area was just unsightly from the time we moved in.  We contemplated laying the tile ourselves, we even have a tile cutter.  However with all we have going on, and knowing someone in our new ward that needed the work, we decided to leave it to the professionals.  So happy we did!  We ended up doing a little bit "fancier" look for the entry way and we never would have attempted it on our own as our first tile project.  Plus it was done in two days, which was another reason to hire someone.  Soooo drumroll please..............................

I can't find the pictures we took of the house before renovations started, so here is the DURING, with all flooring removed (and the ugly sheet!)  We had to train the kids that this was the no-no ouchy room. haha!

AFTER!  The travertine inlays seem dull to me, even after sealing it.  But it still works and will look even better once I can mop it since there is still the grout clean up film on it.  We plan to create some sort of granite fireplace face in there and sanding and restaining the front door.
