Over a month after the last post and I finally have something to write about that doesn't belong on the Blog Jr. page!  Our 2nd anniversary was May 27th and since Dan has work and school until 10pm we thought we should celebrate on Friday.  This would be the first time I'd been away from Madelyn, for more than a Dr. visit (which was less than an hour and I was only 100 ft away from her) so I  was curious how bad my separation anxiety would be.  Luckily Grandma Debbie was available and anxious to babysit!  Grandpa Kent came too and they said she was happy the whole time!

I didn't have too hard a time leaving her, I knew she was in good hands.  I armed Debbie with as many pointers as I could so her babysitting time would go as smooth as possible.  While we were waiting to be seated at the restaurant Dan and I were talking about trips we wanted to take sometime next year.  Just thinking about Madelyn at this stage, it made me sad to think of leaving her for more than a night.  Even one night would be tough, though really nice to get the uninterrupted sleep!!  Obviously we would never take any trips while she's still so young, but before we think about expanding our family, we'd like to go to Europe again.

Anyway, we had a great time together having a nice dinner out, went for a little drive and then stopped in at the grocery store...hahaha...lame I know but you have to take advantage!  Plus we needed dessert to finish the evening off right.  :)  It was nice to be together on a real date and I hope we'll get more opportunities as Madelyn gets older and less dependent.

It was fun to come home though and be greeted with smiles (of relief??), and Madelyn gave us some too :)  Thank you Kent and Debbie for making it possible!
